We've all read in the past few days of New York City's Mayor Michael Bloomberg's decision to exclude the Clergy AND the First Responders from well-deserved roles in the 9/11 Ten-Year Memorial gathering.
What a crock of poop. Who does he think he is? His decision is a desecration to every grave of each person who died that day and to all of the families who have suffered because of those cowardly attacks on our country. By the way, I do personally believe that these acts were direct declarations of war upon us as a nation and people by a group of terrorists who needs to be summarily wiped off the face of the planet. To exclude these Great Americans from the ceremonies, this "Mayor" seems to have sided with those that committed the acts in the first place.
Not to mention the fact that he actually SUPPORTS the building of the "9/11 Mosque" itself. By what standard do we now judge this man? His intent seems to be one of absolute disgust whereby he's stating that he doesn't care about what happened on that day. The Clergy are who we turned to for solace and to intercede to God on our behalf on that day; the First Responders were the ones who RAN TO GROUND ZERO to rescue those in need. Both groups are HEROES OF AMERICA! They are definitely my heroes.
I may be wrong; please forgive me if I am. My intentions are not to emphatically state that Bloomberg feels this way or that his act of excluding them is morally despicable. I am merely stating what SEEMS to be. I mean, really; it DOES seem that way. He hasn't stated otherwise, not that I've been able to find anywhere. This is pretty important, too.
It’s really no surprise, is it? It looks like so many of our leaders are placating groups, associations, and entities that seems to have America's destruction as their primary agenda as well as those who have intentions to bleed our economic resources dry. Illegal aliens (sorry, undocumented immigrants), "suspected" terrorists, American-hating Marxists, far, far, far left labor organizers, and more, are being placed upon a pedestal of legitimacy and are upheld as stalwarts of America. We are being force-fed spoonful after spoonful of "acceptance" and "tolerance" rhetoric. I don't know about you, but I do not think it's very appetizing. It tastes nasty. Bet you the Washingtons, Lincolns, Jeffersons, Hamiltons, Franklins, or Adamses would feel the same way about being forced to succumb to ideals and morals that are against God and Liberty. Oh...they did feel that way.
How can this continue? Why is the Mayor of New York allowed to even make this decision? Where's the opposition? There is opposition, isn't there?
